Digital Desk, Washington. Coronavirus cases have increased to 23.42 crores worldwide. So far more than 47.9 lakh people have died due to this epidemic, while more than 6.26 billion people have been vaccinated. These figures have been shared by Johns Hopkins University. In its latest update on Saturday morning, the university’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) reported that the current global cases, death toll and vaccination count stood at 234,246,865, 4,790,858 and 6,261,231,161 respectively.
According to the CSSE, the US remains the most affected country with 43,617,650 cases and 700,258 deaths. India ranks second in terms of corona infection with 33,766,707 cases. According to CSSE data, the other most affected countries with more than 3 million cases are Brazil (21,445,651), UK (7,878,537), Russia (7,425,057), Turkey (7,153,527), France (7,110,963), Iran (5,601,565), Argentina (5,258,466), Spain (4,961,128), Colombia (4,959,144), Italy (4,672,355), Germany (4,249,061), Indonesia (4,216,728) and Mexico (3,664,223).
Countries that have crossed the 100,000 death mark. Among them are Brazil (597,255), India (448,339), Mexico (277,507), Russia (204,424), Peru (199,367), Indonesia (142,026), UK (137,171), Italy (130,921), Iran (120,428), Colombia (126,336) , France (117,525) and Argentina (115,225).
