Digital Desk, Washington. The global cases of coronavirus have increased to 21.97 crore. So far more than 45.5 lakh people have lost their lives due to this epidemic and more than 5.40 billion people have been vaccinated. These figures have been shared by Johns Hopkins University. In its latest update on Saturday morning, the university’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global cases, death toll and vaccination count stand at 219,739,748, 4,552,477 and 5,402,742,641 respectively.

According to CSSE, the US continues to be the worst-hit country with the world’s highest number of cases and deaths at 39,848,170 and 647,573 respectively. India ranks second in terms of corona infection with 32,903,289 cases. According to CSSE data, the other most affected countries with more than 3 million cases are Brazil (20,856,060), France (6,897,529), UK (6,937,024), Russia (6,875,713), Turkey (6,412,247), Argentina (5,199,919), Iran (5,083,133) , Colombia (4,914,881), Spain (4,877,755), Italy (4,559,970), Indonesia (4,116,890), Germany (3,996,688) and Mexico (3,387,885).

If we talk in terms of deaths from Corona, then Brazil is at number two with 582,670 cases. Countries that have crossed the 100,000-plus death toll include India (439,895), Mexico (261,496), Peru (198,364), Russia (182,341), Indonesia (134,930), UK (133,365), Italy (129,410), France (115,269), Colombia (125,158), Argentina (112,356) and Iran (109,549) are included.
