New Delhi, December 3: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs staged a protest in Parliament on Friday (December 03) against the “unruly” behavior of the opposition parties. At the same time, opposition MPs also protested against the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha MPs. Since the winter session of Parliament began on November 29, there has been continuous disruption in the functioning of both the houses. In fact, on the very first day of the winter session, 12 MPs of opposition parties were suspended in the Rajya Sabha. Since then, opposition leaders have been protesting against the demand to revoke the suspension of almost every count of MPs.

Among the suspended MPs are six from Congress, two each from Trinamool Congress and Shiv Sena, and one each from CPI and CPM. The suspended Congress MPs are Phoolo Devi Netam, Chhaya Verma, Ripun Bora, Rajamani Patel, Syed Nasir Hussain and Akhilesh Prasad Singh. The two Trinamool Congress MPs are Dola Sen and Shanta Chhetri. There are Priyanka Chaturvedi and Anil Desai of Shiv Sena. CPM’s Elaram Karim and CPI’s Binoy Viswam have been suspended.

TMC MP Dola Sen said, in response to a question in Parliament, the BJP minister said that NRC will not be implemented anywhere in India right now. They have withdrawn the Agriculture Act and are also going to take back the NRC. About the condition of West Bengal, 6 months back, the public has given the mandate in the elections.

At the same time, Congress leader Adhiranjan Chowdhury said, “BJP has no understanding of what should be done, what should not be done. They only follow the orders of the authority in the BJP party. BJP also denied the right to protest in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, this is nothing but dictatorship.
