New DelhiAfter capturing the 14th season of IPL, now the eyes of Chennai Super Kings are now on the next season. There is not much time in the mega auction of the next IPL season.
The 15th season of IPL can be played in April-May next year.
Earlier, a big disclosure has been made by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on whether the franchise will keep Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the team or not.
Dhoni will play for Chennai next year also
He will try to retain captain MS Dhoni first if players are allowed to retain him before the auction to be held before the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL).
According to a report, Dhoni will be the first player to be retained by CSK after getting clarity on the rules of the mega-auction.
BCCI has not yet made the rules of auction
In the post-match discussion on Friday, Dhoni had said that it is up to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). How he shapes up the rules for next season’s auction will decide whether he will join CSK as a player in the next season.

A CSK official was quoted as saying, “Dhoni will be the first player to be retained, there is no doubt about it.” But first, we need to know the retention rules, which we are not aware of yet. If we can retain the players, we will save Dhoni first.
