I have come to TMC to serve Bengal. I will get a chance to serve the public in TMC. There is a big opportunity to serve the public in TMC. My aim is to serve Bengal. Proud to have changed my decision. In a press conference in Kolkata, Babul Supriyo said that I am very excited to join Trinamool Congress, will work for the development of West Bengal. On the question of resigning as BJP MP after joining Trinamool Congress, Babul Supriyo said that I will follow the rule.
After joining TMC, Babul Supriyo said that if definitely joined here (TMC) then there is no point in holding the seat of Asansol. I have entered politics because of Asansol, because of their trust. I will do as much as I can for Asansol. I have to work, if I put a full stop somewhere on the occasion of my work, then I will not tolerate it. I want to work, I got a chance to work here. Didi (Mamata Banerjee) and Abhishek have given me this opportunity, I have got such a good opportunity. With all my heart I left politics and with all my heart I am accepting this opportunity.
Babul Supriyo to meet Mamata Banerjee on Monday

BJP MP Babul Supriyo joins TMC
BJP MP and former Union Minister Babul Supriyo on Saturday joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Kolkata. He had recently announced to quit politics. The party said in a tweet, “Today in the presence of National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee and Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien, former Union Minister and sitting MP Babul Supriyo joined the Trinamool family.” Last month, Supriyo had announced that he would join politics. leaving, but was later persuaded not to resign from the membership of the Lok Sabha.
Supriyo had insisted that he would no longer be a part of active politics. Speaking to reporters after meeting BJP President JP Nadda, Asansol MP Supriyo had said that he would continue to discharge his constitutional responsibilities as an MP, but would stay away from politics.
