Srinagar: Security has been beefed up across Kashmir ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s first visit to the Kashmir Valley after the abrogation of Article 370. The officers provided this information. He said that tight security arrangements have been made around the Bharatiya Janata Party office located in Jawahar Nagar in the city. He told that Shah is likely to visit there.
Similarly, roads leading to Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center have been closed for three days from Saturday, officials said. Actually, the Union Minister is likely to attend a program there. In August 2019, the eastern state of Jammu and Kashmir was bifurcated into two union territories.
Official sources said 50 companies of additional paramilitary forces have been deployed in view of the recent killings of civilians in the Valley. Officials said bunkers with paramilitary forces have been set up in several areas of the city and in other parts of the valley.

According to the information, the Home Minister will also hold several meetings with the officials on his visit to Kashmir. If sources are to be believed, Amit Shah can also inaugurate the first international flight from Srinagar to Sharjahan. This flight was announced by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia last month.
