He says that people do not know whether the earth is a safe place to live for the next 100 years or not. Climate change and pandemics are big indicators in this direction. In such a situation, the work of setting up colonies on other planets can start soon. Santosh says that he can travel to space by the end of this year or early next year.

Santosh had booked his seat for space travel in 2007 for about 2.5 lakh dollars. At that time people knew little about this project. He says, ‘At that time the concept of commercial space flight was a distant thing. I have been waiting for it since then.

Santosh says that he has taken training in the US-based Virgin Galactic’s spaceport to go to space. The cost of this training is in addition to 2.5 million dollars. Santosh is informed about the project on a weekly basis. He says, ‘Only four people can travel in space in one flight. They will be selected on the basis of various criteria. I know that I will be a part of the initial space flight.
