Digital Desk, Orlando (US). India’s men’s tennis player Prajnesh Gunanswaran lost in the final of the Orlando Open. Fourth seed Prajnesh lost to America 3-6, 4-6 at the hands of Brandon Nakashima. The 31-year-old Prajnesh has had satisfaction with the runners-up after losing in the final of a tournament for the second consecutive time in the last one week. He also had to satisfy the runners-up by losing in the final of the Carrie Challenger last week.
After this performance, Prajnesh has moved from 137th to 128th position in ATP Tour rankings. In the Indian rankings, he has topped the men’s singles ranking by sliding Sumit Nagal. Meanwhile, 19-year-old Naakashmi has become the youngest American player to win a Challenger title. Prior to that, Francis Tiafoe of America won the lowest Challenger title in 2017.
