Rahul says that he wants to create history for the country by winning the World Cup. Rahul scored the second fastest half-century for Team India in the T20 World Cup and led the team to victory in just 6.3 overs.

In a video posted by ICC on Instagram, Rahul said, “Growing up I watched the 2011 World Cup at home, a lot of things changed for me when we won the World Cup. That day I decided that I too have to show it. I want to win the World Cup for my country, be a part of one or two or three more World Cups and create history. Rahul was also a part of the team in the 50-over World Cup played in 2019 and this is his second World Cup. In the T20 World Cup 2021 being played in UAE and Oman, Rahul has scored the most runs from India’s bat so far. He has scored 140 runs in 4 matches at a strike rate of 153, which includes two fifties.
