The citizens of Saudi have demanded strict action against this arrogance of Pakistan. Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said al-Malki met Qureshi in Islamabad on Tuesday. The report said that Qureshi was sitting with one leg on the other during the meeting and that his leg (including the shoe) was towards the Saudi ambassador, which has been objected by many Saudis.

‘Pakistani minister probably did this intentionally’

A Saudi national said on Twitter, ‘The Pakistani minister’s sitting style was devoid of diplomatic etiquette.’ Another angry Saudi citizen wrote on social media, ‘As a Saudi (citizen) we do not accept that the Pakistani Foreign Minister insults the Saudi Ambassador in this way.’ People on social media said that the way Qureshi sat with his shoes towards the face of the guest (ambassador) was disrespectful. One user said, ‘I think this behavior has been deliberate on the part of Pakistani minister.’

‘Pakistan begs Saudi Arabia every year’

A Pakistani citizen wrote on social media, ‘Pakistan’s Foreign Minister desperately needs to learn many things. Pakistan begs Saudi Arabia every year.
