Randhir Kapoor sent to ICU, condition stable: hospital sources

Bollywood actor Randhir Kapoor has been sent to the Intensive Care Cell (ICU) a few days after the confirmation of Kovid-19 (Covid 19). Randhir Kapoor is running at Kokilaben Hospital here and according to a hospital source, 74-year-old Kapoor’s condition is currently stable. “He has been kept in the ICU for surveillance. He is stable. He will be kept in the hospital for a few days,” a hospital source said.

Randhir Kapoor is the elder son of noted actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor. Within a year, the actor lost his younger brothers Rishi Kapoor (67) and Rajiv Kapoor (58). Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020 after fighting cancer for two years, while Rajiv Kapoor died of a heart attack in February this year.

Randhir Kapoor is known for his roles in the films ‘Kal Aaj Kal and Kal’, ‘Jeet’, ‘Jawani Deewani’, ‘Lafange’, ‘Rampur Ka Laxman’ and ‘Haath Ki Safai’. He was married to actress Babita, but now both have separated. The couple has two daughters – Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
