Former Pakistan cricketer and famous commentator Rameez Raja may be the new chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board. Rameez Raja’s name is the front runner in the race to become the chairman and he may replace the current chairman Ehsan Mani. According to reports, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan is not in favor of extending the term of Ehsan and he will soon send two names to the board for this post, out of which the board members will have to stamp one name after mutual consent.

A PCB source confirmed, “In the next few days, the Prime Minister will send two names to the Governing Board of the PCB for the selection of the chairman and the members will have to choose one of them as the chairman.” Rameez would be the perfect candidate for this position. Rameez Raja played 57 Tests, 198 ODIs during his international career. During this, he scored 2833 runs in Tests at an average of 31.83, while in ODIs, Rameez scored 5841 runs at an average of 32.09. Combining both the formats, Rameez Raja scored a total of 11 centuries for Pakistan.
