Raj Kapoor Kapoor, Raj Kapoor’s son and youngest brother of Rishi Kapoor, dies of heart attack at 58

Digital Desk (Bhopal). Raj Kapoor’s son Raj Kapoor died of a heart attack at the age of 58. Rajiv’s sister-in-law Neetu Kapoor took to Instagram to confirm this news. Sharing a picture of the actor, Neetu wrote, “RIP. Rajiv Kapoor was the youngest son to act in films like ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, ‘Mera Saathi’ and ‘Hum To Chale Pardes’. Rajiv Kapoor was the youngest brother of actors Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor.

Randhir Kapoor confirmed this sad news and said, ‘I have lost my youngest brother Rajiv. He is no longer in this world. The doctors tried their best to save him but could not save him.

Rajiv Kapoor made his debut in the year 1985 in the film ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, directed by Raj Kapoor. After this, he was seen in a few films. He also directed Rishi Kapoor’s lead role ‘Prem Granth’.

Rajiv Kapoor was to return to films after 28 years with director Ashutosh Gowariker’s film ‘Tooldas Junior’. The film was announced in December 2020 with Sanjay Dutt in the lead role. Trade analyst Komal Nahata also confirmed the news by tweeting on Tuesday afternoon. He wrote in a tweet, very sad news. Rajiv (Chimp) Kapoor died of a heart attack. Rajiv, known in Bollywood by his nickname Chimpu, was famous for co-starring Mandakini in Raj Kapoor’s 1985 blockbuster Ram Teri Ganga Maili. Apart from this he has worked in films like Lava, Jaljala and Jitiya.
