Railway officer invited people by sending flowers and vegetable seeds on wedding card


The 29-year-old officer of the Railway Traffic Service in Telangana has pasted flowers and vegetable seeds on his wedding card, so that the invites can use these seeds to grow flowers and vegetables.

K. Shashikant told PTI-Language, “I want to contribute to greenery. I got this idea. Lily, marigold and chrysanthemum flowers are planted on every card.

He told that green chilli, tomato and okra seeds have been pasted on the envelope of the card. Shashikant is to be married on 28 November.


In addition to inviting relatives and friends to the wedding, he is urging them to use these seeds to grow flowers and vegetables and share his picture with them.

Impressed by the initiative of the railway officer, Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said that Shashikant is an exemplar and inspiration for all bureaucrats.
