Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh may meet PM Modi today

New Delhi, August 11. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the country’s capital today. It is believed that Amarinder Singh can discuss the issue of farmers’ performance during his meeting with PM Modi. Earlier on Tuesday, Amarinder Singh met Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Captain Amarinder Singh met Sonia Gandhi for the first time after Navjot Singh Sidhu was made the Punjab Congress President. Importantly, Amarinder Singh did not want Sidhu to be made the Punjab Congress president.

It is worth noting that there is a discussion going on for cabinet reshuffle in Punjab. Captain Amarinder Singh has reached Delhi amid the discussion of cabinet reshuffle. Besides Sonia Gandhi, Amarinder Singh also met election strategist Prashant Kishor, who has recently resigned as political advisor. In Delhi, Amarinder Singh had also organized a dinner party for some leaders, which included Manish Tewari, Rana Sodhi, Mohammad Siddiqui, Preneet Kaur and former Law Minister Ashwini Kumar.

The important thing is that even after the reconciliation between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Amarinder Singh, Sidhu is not missing out on targeting the government. Sidhu has targeted the government for the delay in taking action against Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia and other accused in the drug trafficking case.
