How to link PAN with Aadhaar
For this, you can go to the new e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department. On the portal, you will see a list related to a service, click on ‘Link Aadhaar’ in this list. On clicking that link, the taxpayer will be redirected to a page requiring user details like name, PAN card number, Aadhar number. After entering the exact required information, the details will be validated and the documents will be linked. Know the step-by-step process:
Step 1: Visit the Income Tax e-filing website (incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in) to link PAN with Aadhaar.
Step 2: On the left side of the site you will get the option to link Aadhaar, click on it.
Step 3: Now fill the details on the new page.
Step 4: Enter your PAN number and Aadhaar number.
Step 5: After filling all the details enter the captcha code.
Step 6: Click on ‘Link Aadhaar’.
Step 7: Once you click on it your PAN will be linked with Aadhaar.
Step 8: Now, you will be able to see this information on your screen also.
Link PAN with Aadhaar through SMS
Users can easily link the two by sending an SMS to 567678 or 56161. For linking PAN with Aadhaar number, the user has to enter the UIDPAN. For example: UIDPAN 0000011112222 AAAPA7777Q. After sending SMS to the above numbers, Aadhar number will be linked with PAN number if your name and date of birth are same in both the documents.

>> Enter PAN and Aadhar Number.
>> Click on ‘View Link Aadhaar Status’.

Users can send an SMS to 567678 or 56161 by typing UIDPAN for this. If the linking is done it will show “Aadhaar…is already associated with PAN.
