WABetaInfo has also shared screenshots related to this. According to this, in this program, users will not need to keep the phone connected to the Internet to use the web version. As shown in the screenshot, users connecting to this program will be able to link up to four desktop devices at once. The option to join the beta program will be found in the Settings menu of WhatsApp Web.

Also keep in mind that for web users who join beta programs, many of the current features found on WhatsApp web will be discontinued.
