Mongolia records lowest daily Covid cases since March | 190 new cases registered in last 24 hours, lowest daily figure since March – Bhaskar

Digital Desk, Ulan Bator. Mongolia has reported 190 new localized infections of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. This is the lowest number since March, when 170 daily cases were reported. The Health Ministry gave this information on Monday. The ministry said in a statement that with the latest confirmed cases, the total number of Kovid-19 infected in the country has increased to 382,323.

The death toll from Kovid in Mongolia rose to 1,922 after five more patients over the age of 40 died in one day, Xinhua news agency reported. According to the ministry, at present, 6,043 Covid patients are being treated in hospitals across the country, while 11,736 are receiving care at home.

So far, more than 66 percent of Mongolia’s population of 3.4 million have received both doses of the COVID vaccine, while 640,074 people over the age of 18 have received a booster dose. The country’s health ministry said at least half the population should receive a booster dose.
