Daniel Scali, a resident of Australia, has registered his name in the Guinness World Records on 6 August 2021 by staying in Planck’s position for 9 hours, 30 minutes and 1 second. Earlier this record was in the name of former US Marine Officer George Hood who set this record on 20 February 2021. Jarj’s record was 8 hours, 15 minutes and 15 seconds. Then George was 62 years old. Daniels defeated George by planking for more than an hour from his time. Not only this, Daniel’s record is also special because he has Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. According to the Guinness Book of Records, when Daniel was 12 years old, his left hand was broken while exercising. Since then he had complex regional pain syndrome. Daniel told that in this syndrome the brain sends wrong information to that injured part. Due to which he feels extreme pain when he touches Daniel’s hands even lightly.
Daniel told that due to plank, there was constant pressure on his elbow to shoulder. He told that in the initial hours, his hand was in extreme pain. Daniel told about his preparation that when he was preparing to break this record, he used to do several hundred pushups and situps. It was also very difficult for Daniel to prepare himself mentally. Daniel told that he does more strenuous exercises so that it helps him to bear the pain that always happens. He got the power to bear the pain he felt in doing plank only by strengthening his mind.
