India’s Kenan Chenai, Prithviraj Tondaiman and Lakshya Shioran finished their campaign brilliantly with the gold medal after defeating Slovakia in the ISSF (International Shooting Sports Federation) World Cup men’s team trap event. In the final, the team of Michel Slamka of Slovakia, Filip Marinov and Adrian Drobny led 2–0, but the Indian team then came back to level the scores 2–2 and 4–4.

In the decisive round, the Indian shooters took two points and won the match 6-4. In the bronze medal match, another team from Kazakhstan won the medal after defeating Qatar. The Kazakhstan team of Viktor Khasayanov, Maxim Kolomets and Andrey Mogilevsky defeated Qatar’s Muhammad Al-Roumih, Syed Abusharib and Nasir Ali Al Hamidi 6-4.
Sanjeev-Sawant won Gold in Mix Team event of Rifle Three Position
The Indian team was second in the qualification on Thursday with 494 points, while the Slovakia team was in first place with 498 points. Kazakhstan (489) was third, Qatar (466) fourth and UAE (327) fifth. Kenan had earlier finished fourth in the individual men’s tap competition on Friday.
