How dance originated in the world
As in Hinduism, it is believed that Brahma Ji, the creator of the creation, prepared the dance Veda at the prayer of the gods at Tretayuga almost thousands of years ago. Only then comes the origin of dance in the world. Since ancient times in India, both versatile and regional dance forms have evolved. The distinctive features of the dance are, together, a composite art. Which reflects the Indian worldview of philosophy, religion, life cycle, weather, and environment. People believe that when the composition of the dance Veda was completed, the dance was practiced by the hundred sons of Bharatamuni.
The dance expresses our joy, resentment, fear, emotions, and aspirations. There are countless dance styles like Shastra Shastri dance, traditional folk, and tribal people in India. As the images found in the caves, the idol of a dancing woman of Mohenjodaro, the evidence found in the Vedas, Upanishads, and other epics clearly attest to India’s rich tradition of performing dances.
