Actually, Manu Bhakar was going from Delhi to Bhopal training on Friday, but Air India officials stopped him from boarding the flight.

Olympic quota winner pistol shooter Manu Bhakar on Friday evening alleged that he was harassed by Air India officials at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI). According to Haryana’s 19-year-old shooter Manu Bhakar, she was going to the Bhopal Shooting Academy from Delhi on Friday and had two pistols and bullets. Despite having documents related to the shooting gun, Air India officials misbehaved with him and demanded Rs 10,200 from him. He accused Air India official Manoj Gupta and other staff of insulting him.

Approved to fly after intervention of Union Sports Minister
Manu was not allowed to board the plane for this reason, but after the intervention of Air India top officials and Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju, besides Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri, Manu was finally flown to Bhopal with his luggage Got permission.

After being detained at Indira Gandhi Airport, 19-year-old Manu tweeted his position in front of Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju and Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Manu one of the top shooters for ISSSF World Cup
Manu is one of the top shooters selected for the ISSF World Cup, to be held from March 18 to 29 at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi. The 2018 Youth Olympic champion Manu competed in the second round of the national selection trial held in New Delhi from 8 to 14 February in the 10m air pistol and 25m sports pistol competition.
