- Pakistan’s PM is under pressure to resign
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed his country on Thursday. In his address to Pakistan, he said, ‘Yousaf Raza Gillani) won in the Senate on the basis of money. I will come with confidence on March 6. If defeated, I will sit in opposition. There is no difference in my life, whether sitting in the opposition or getting out of the assembly, but I will not leave those who are sitting with Pakistan money. I will take the public out on the streets. Criticizing the Grand Alliance for making fun of democracy, Khan said that he will not leave the corrupt.
Imran Khan made this address before Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh won the confidence vote to retain the legitimacy of his government in the wake of the Senate election defeat. Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) candidate and former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani gave a major blow to Prime Minister Khan by defeating Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Sheikh, who had personally campaigned for his cabinet colleague. PDM is an 11-party coalition formed in September last year to topple Khan’s government.

Cricketer-turned-politician 68-year-old Imran Khan said, “I will get a vote of confidence after Saturday.” I will ask my members to show that they have faith in me. If they say they have no faith, then I will sit on the opposition bench. If I am out of the government, I will go to the people and ask them to continue their struggle for the country. I will not let these traitors (who have looted the country) sit in peace. I call them traitors because they are robbers.
