Important news for Reliance Jio users, company issued alert

Reliance Jio has warned its customers on Monday about the increasing cyber frauds. Reliance Jio has said that the safety of its customers has always been very important for it. The Mukesh Ambani-led telecom company has said in an e-mail notification to its customers, ‘Your security is very important for us at Jio. In the recent past, we have come across some cases related to cyber frauds, in which fraudsters posing as Jio’s representative and providing information related to your Aadhaar, bank accounts, OTP etc. on the pretext of pending eKYC (Know Your Customer) Insist on achieving.

The company told, what tactics do fraudsters use
Reliance Jio has said that fraudsters claim that your Jio services will be affected if you do not complete the e-KYC. This has been said in a report by Economic Times. Reliance Jio has told about the working of the fraudsters, ‘Generally a call back number is given to the customers to share the details. When the customer calls the given number, he is asked to install a third-party app. Through this third party app, fraudsters give customers access to bank accounts linked to phones and devices.

Jio said, customers should not download remote access apps
According to Reliance Jio, it never asks customers to download third-party applications, as all the necessary information for customers resides in the MyJio app. Jio has advised customers not to click on any suspicious links and attachments. Also, don’t answer unwanted calls. Jio has said, ‘Do not download remote access apps, because by doing so all the information of your phone will be passed on to the fraudsters.’
