Google has released some new features for Android smartphones. This includes new updates for emoji kitchens on the Gboard, auto-generated narrators for books, labels for Android apps. However, it is worth noting that the new features are not for all users. Some of these are for the beta version and some are limited to select markets.
Emoji Kitchen on Gboard
The first thing was the emoji kitchen feature of Gboard. This feature allows users to customize the emoji of choice with a sticker. Google has made the process easy. For this you just have to tap on two emojis. Also you get suggestions by double tapping on emoji. This feature is already available on the Gboard beta, and it will roll out on Android 6.0 and above in the coming weeks.
Google is adding auto-generated narrators to books with no audio version. This will work on the Google Play Books app. For this, Google is working with publishers in the US and UK. It is planned to connect it with all publishers by early 2021.
Labels are now available in Google’s voice access feature. It allows you to add labels for various apps like ‘Open Photos, Tap Search, and Tap Your Map’. Google first introduced it for Android 11, and now it is also available on Android 6.0 and above.
New tab in google map
Google Maps has a new Go tab that will make it easy for users to navigate to their favorite place. You can pin your locations on Google Maps to get a quick look at information such as directions, live traffic, and route disruption. The Go tab on Google Maps will be available for Android and iOS users in the coming weeks.
