1. Write down regrets and thoughts
Write down all the things you regret in life in one place and go back one by one to the situation when you took this decision. You will understand that this was actually the need of the hour which has nothing to do with your decision. It will also be understood that in fact this is not a reason for remorse.

2. What did you learn
Also write in the diary whether the thing you regret has actually learned from that incident or decision. If you move forward by being positive considering it as a lesson of life, then believe that this wrong decision taken in history can become your strength in future.
3. Forgive Yourself
The most effective way to come out of regret is to forgive yourself. You have to think that you were innocent then and mistakes can happen to anyone.
If you have done something wrong to someone or you feel that someone has suffered a great loss because of your decision, then the only option for you to recover from this regret is to apologize. Unless you apologise, regret will not leave you and you will be troubled for the rest of your life.
