Defender Roman Evgeniev has been named in place of Andre Mostovoy. Russia has to play its first match in Euro 2020 against Belgium in St. Petersburg on Saturday.
Moscow. Russian winger Andrei Mostovoy has been ruled out of the European Championships Euro 2020 team due to being infected with the coronavirus. Mostovoy is the first player to be ruled out of the tournament due to the virus. The Russian team has written on its Twitter handle that defender Roman Evgeniev has been kept in place of Mostovoy. Russia has to play its first match in Euro 2020 against Belgium in St. Petersburg on Saturday.
The Euro Cup, called the ‘Mini World Cup’, has started from 11 June. Even though this tournament is taking place in 2021, but it has been named as Euro 2020. The matches of the Euro Cup will be held from 11 June to 11 July in 11 different cities of Europe.
Prize money of Rs 3300 crore
UEFA has said that Euro 2020 will remind people how the entire football family came together to combat the situation created by the coronavirus pandemic. In Euro 2020, a prize money of about Rs 3300 crore (Euro 2020 Prize Money) will be given.Read also:
