Italy and Wales have made it to the knockout rounds of Euro 2020. Italy defeated Wales 1–0 in their third match. Even after the defeat, Wales’s team was successful in qualifying.
Rome. Italy and Wales have made it to the knockout rounds of Euro 2020. Italy registered its third consecutive win in Group A on Sunday. The team defeated Wales 1-0. On the other hand, Wales team managed to qualify even after losing in the last group match. In another group match, Switzerland beat Turkey 3-1. Switzerland’s future will be decided after the group tie is over.
Italy started well in the match. Matteo Pesina scored in the 39th minute to give the team a 1-0 lead. The score remained the same till half time. In the 55th minute of the match, Ethan Mpadoo of Wales was shown a red card. After this the team had to play with 10 players. Earlier, Italy had defeated Turkey 3-0 while Switzerland also 3-0. The team has scored 7 goals so far, while not a single goal has been scored against them. Wales, on the other hand, played a 1-1 draw against Switzerland. The team defeated Turkey 2-0 in their second group match.
