England vs Australia: Steve Smith's head injury, Smith will not be able to play the first ODI

Hello friends, the Australian team, who came to play the first ODI after about 6 months due to Corona, got a shock before the match. Australia’s star batsman Steve Smith will not play the first ODI against England. Let me tell you that he suffered a head injury during net practice on Thursday. Due to which he has been given rest from the first ODI as a precaution.

Last year, Jofra Archer’s bouncer hit her head in the Lord’s Test. After this Marnus Labuschagne replaced him as a replacement substitute player. In ODI Test cricket, the connection substitute player was used for the first time.

Australia gave a statement:

Australia said it was done as a precaution. The incident occurred on Thursday when a member of the coaching staff was throwing the ball over the net and a ball hit Smith’s head. The Smith connections were found to be fit in the investigation, but as a precaution, they will have another test on Saturday before the second match.

A half-century innings of Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Marsh and a 126-run partnership for the sixth wicket between the two saw Australia challenge England to 295 for victory in the first ODI of the three-match series.

Marcus stoinis and Marnus Labuschagne could not convert a good start into big innings. When wicketkeeper Alex Carey returned to the pavilion, the team’s score was 123 for 5 wickets. After this Maxwell and Marsh formed an excellent partnership. Archer broke this partnership by bowling Maxwell. Marsh hit six fours in the 100-ball innings. He lbw to Wood. Mitchell Starc put the final score of the innings to 94 for 294.
