The actress recently won the Best Actress award for her short film ‘Sheer Korma’ at the DFW South Asian Film Festival in Dallas, USA. The film has been touring at film festivals around the world for quite some time and has been winning acclaim on international canvas.
Sheer Korma, helmed by Faraz Ansari, is one of the films that represents the LGBTIUA+ community. At its core is a heart touching story. The film also stars veteran actress Shabana Azmi and Swara Bhaskar.
Excited Divya talking about participating in the event said, “I am very excited to be physically here in Dallas and receive the award. While ‘The Stars in My Sky’ will be available on the stands from October 25, on the cinema front, the actress is gearing up for the release of her films like ‘Dhaakad’. In this, she will be seen sharing screen space with Kangana Ranaut. Arjun Rampal and Applause Entertainment’s ‘Shamarjee Ki Beti’, who will both hit the screens next year. (IANS)
