Delhi to continue extensive testing, COVID, flu have similar symptoms: Experts

New Delhi. During a recent meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), experts said that the symptoms of flu and Kovid-19 are similar and that the Delhi government has to deal with Coronavirus infection. Comprehensive investigation should continue to keep the infection under control. At the same time, Randeep Guleria, Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) also said that comprehensive investigation should be continued in Delhi as the symptoms of Influenza and Kovid-19 are similar.

In the meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, the epidemic situation in Delhi was discussed and it was advised that the anti-epidemic strategy should be continued in the national capital. According to the details of the meeting, Dr Sujit Kumar Singh, Director, National Center for Disease Control said that the new cases of corona virus infection in Delhi have been less than 100 for some time. Singh had said in the meeting held on August 27 that the reason for the increase in cases in Shahdara district should be ascertained. In the meeting, Dr VK Paul, member of NITI Aayog, said that the symptoms of influenza and Kovid-19 are almost similar, so contact tracing and survey related to influenza-like illness and severe respiratory illness should be promoted.
