Meanwhile, BJYM’s National Secretary Gaurav Tiwari said that he has submitted a memorandum to Rewa’s Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar Singh on Saturday, apologizing to the producers of Netflix and the series and removing objectionable scenes. Tiwari claimed that parts of the series have been shot in Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh and kissing scenes inside the temple have hurt our feelings. Talking to reporters, the SP of Rewa district said, “ Further action will be taken after getting footage of objectionable scenes from Netflix. I have received a memorandum by Gaurav Tiwari, stating that objectionable scenes of the series have been shot at a religious place. Action will be taken after investigation in this.

The 6-episode Netflix series has been produced by noted producer and director Meera Nair. Nair is known for critically praising his films such as Salaam Bombay, Monsoon Wedding and The Namesake.
