Johannesburg. The third and final Test of the upcoming Test series between India and South Africa has been shifted from Johannesburg to Cape Town, Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced on Friday.

Johannesburg was to host the opening match and third Test (January 3-7) of the series starting from December 17, while Centurion is to host the ‘Boxing Day’ Test from December 26. But CSA announced a change in the venue of the third Test but did not specify the reason for the move.

CSA tweeted, “CSA announces a significant program change that the 3rd Betway Test of the Freedom Series will move from Imperial Wanderers in Johannesburg to the Six Gun Grill Newlands in Cape Town.”

After beating Australia twice at home in the last three years, the Indian team will now look to win the first Test series in South Africa.

India also has to play three ODIs and four T20 matches on the tour of South Africa. The tour will conclude on January 26 with the fourth T20I.
