The male boxer, Duyardhan Negi (69 kg weight), currently training at Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NSNIS) in Patiala, has been found infected with Kovid-19. The Sports Authority of India (Sai) gave this information on Sunday. Negi does not have any symptoms of the disease but he was admitted to the Colombia Asia Hospital as a precaution.
Sai said in a statement, he went for a Diwali break. He was quarantine when he returned. According to the SOP, he was tested on the sixth day of quarantine, which has come positive. He said, he is being taken good care to get well soon. Sai said on Saturday that wrestling player Narsingh Yadav (74 kg freestyle), Gurpreet Singh (77 kg Greco Roman) had turned out to be Kovid positive.
