Basketball player Satnam to try his hand at professional wrestling, created history by joining NBA team

Satnam Singh Bhamra, the first Indian player to make it to an NBA team and currently facing a doping ban, has decided to try his hand at wrestling and has signed up with a professional league in the US.

Satnam, 25, created history in the NBA in 2015 by making it to the Dallas Mavericks team.

According to a release here, he has started training at Nightmare Factory in Atlanta to become a professional wrestler so that he can take part in All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Satnam had failed a dope test in 2019 after which he was banned for two years by the disciplinary committee of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA). His ban will end on November 19.
