Mumbai. Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana was recently appointed as UNICEF’s Celebrity Advocate for their global campaign EVAC (End Violence Against Children). He wants to create awareness at the national level about online safety for children in India. Ayushmann said that the Internet, as we know it, is a double-edged sword. We have seen its innumerable benefits during this pandemic. Also, it has its own risks. As the Internet continues to expand its reach, the risk of online abuse such as cyberbullying and online sexual abuse has also increased.

The actor said it is important to make children aware.

Star is flagging off a one-year joint initiative of Facebook India and UNICEF India to protect the rights of children.
