An official of the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) told the news agency that the Women’s and Men’s Asian Boxing Championship is proposed from May 21 in Delhi. But due to Corona, the current situation in Delhi is frightening. In such a situation, the countries participating in the championship would hardly want to travel to Delhi, which became Corona’s hotspot at this time. However, BFI Secretary General Hemanta Kumar Kalita has not given any information about this.

The top boxers, who have been participating in the national camp in Delhi since March, are either recovering from Corona or have not started training yet after recovering from it. Due to the second wave of Corona, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) has closed the National Center of Excellence (NCOE) in New Delhi.
