Ashes 2021-22: England will enter the Boxing-Day Test with 4 major changes, announced the playing XI a day before the match

The England cricket team is trailing 0-2 in the series after losing the first two Tests in the ongoing five-match Ashes series against Australia. The third Test of the series is to be played from Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This match will be the Boxing Day Test, which will be played from 26 December. England, engaged in preparations for the return of the series, have announced their playing XI for the Melbourne Test. The visiting team has made four major changes in their team for the third Test. These changes are part of the opening to the bowling. After the change, the team’s opening pair has changed as well as the middle order and bowling line-up have also changed.

England have given Jack Crowley a chance by replacing Rory Burns as opener Haseeb Hameed’s partner. Rory Burns failed to get England off to a clean start in Brisbane and Adelaide, due to which he was ruled out of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne. However, this year has not been good for Crowley either.
