Lucknow. A Lucknow court has issued an arrest warrant against famous dancer Sapna Choudhary for allegedly canceling an event and not returning money to ticket holders. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Shantanu Tyagi on Wednesday issued a warrant against Chowdhury asking the police to execute it by November 22, which is the next date of hearing in the case.

The court will frame charges against Sapna in a case which requires the presence of the accused.

Sapna Choudhary had earlier also approached the court seeking quashing of the FIR lodged against her but was denied relief.

An FIR was registered against Choudhary at Ashiana police station on October 14, 2018. Trouble has been brewing for Sapna ever since she was allegedly canceled for a dance show at Lucknow’s Smriti Upvan on October 13.

Apart from the dancers, the organizers of the event Junaid Ahmed, Naveen Sharma, Ibad Ali, Amit Pandey and Ratnakar Upadhyay have also been named in this FIR.

Tickets for the event were sold both online and offline at a price of Rs 300.

Thousands of people had reached to see the program but when Chaudhary did not reach till 10 pm, the crowd created a ruckus on the spot.

People’s money was also not returned to them. (IANS)
