Antilia case: Mansukh’s viscera sent for further investigation

The post-mortem report of Mansukh Hiren, owner of a Scorpio car, found near the house of Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, has not yet given any reason for the death. DCP Avinash Ambure said that the cause of death has been kept in reserve in the post-mortem. Currently, Visra’s samples have been sent to the Kalina Forensic Lab for examination. The family claims that Hiren cannot commit suicide. He has been killed. Demanding a high-level inquiry into the case, he said he would not perform the last rites of Hiren until his questions were answered. But after a lot of persuasion by the top police officers, they agreed and cremated Hiren. At the same time, after getting the responsibility of investigating the case, the Anti-Terrorism Squad has started investigating. On Saturday, ATS officials took stock of the site where Hiren’s body was found from the Gulf.

The family claimed murder
Hiren’s wife Vimal said that her husband cannot commit suicide. Policemen were questioning him for the last several days. On Thursday also at eight o’clock he told that he was called for questioning by a person named Tawde of Kandivali Crime Branch in Ghodbunder Road premises and they left the house. When he did not return till 10 o’clock in the night, the family tried to call him but his phone was switched off. If he did not return till one o’clock in the night, he was reported missing in the police station. The next day, his body was recovered from the Gulf at Mumbra. Vimal demanded an inquiry into the entire matter. Hiren’s elder brother Vinod also said that his brother cannot commit suicide. If he had any problem, he would have given information about it. He said that Mansukh was a good swimmer. He also taught swimming to others and could swim for hours in water, so that he could not die by drowning.

Questions arose from a handkerchief stuck in the mouth
President of Thane Merchant Federation Devi Lal Jain expressed apprehension that Mansukh had been killed. He said that at the time when Mansukh’s body was found, a handkerchief was inserted in his mouth, how can anyone believe that he has committed suicide. He said that action should be taken against the culprits after conducting a high-level inquiry into the matter. Meanwhile, BJP MLAs Mangalprabhat Lodha and Niranjan Dawkhare came to their house to console the Hiren family.

Hiren wrote a letter to the Chief Minister, upset with the inquiry
Upset over the constant questioning of the investigating agencies, Mansukh Hiren wrote a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh on March 2, saying that they are victims in the case but they are being treated like the accused. He had mentioned in the letter the names of senior officers interrogating police officer Sachin Waze and also accused journalists of repeatedly harassing him by calling. He has also given information in the letter about how his car was stolen after it broke on February 17, after which he lodged a complaint with the police station.

He wrote that two three policemen came to his house at 11 pm on 25 February and informed him that his scorpions were found near Ambani’s house which contained explosives. The policemen went after interrogating him. After some time some people from Ghatkopar Police Station arrived and made inquiries. People came from Vikhroli police station at two o’clock in the night and took me with them. The next day, he was kept in the police station till six in the evening. The next day at 11 am, I received a call from Vikhroli police station. Ghatkopar Police Station called at night. He was also questioned separately by Nagpada ATS, CIU’s Sachin Vaze, NIA officials and Joint Commissioner of Police Milind Bharambe. In the letter, he has written that he is facing mental problems due to constant questioning. At the same time, Sachin Waze, who was under the siege of the allegations, refused to speak anything on the political comments and called the allegations against him wrong.
