Hello, friend the famous Malayalam poet of Kerala and Ganapeeth Award winner Akkitham Achuthan Namboothiri died in Thrissur, Kerala. For the past few days, Akitam Ji was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thrissur for diseases related to his age. The death of 8:10 was announced this morning. He was 94. He was born on 8 March 1926 in the Palakkad district of Kerala. Since childhood, he was interested in literature and art.

Akkitham Achuthan Namboothiri, popularly known as Akkitham. He has done more than 43 works in Malayalam. Irupatham Noottandinte Ithihasam is one of his major works. His major compositions are Nimisha Kshetharam, Upanayanam, Samavatthanam, Bhagavatham, Baladarshanam, Venakkalinate Katha, Manasakashyude Pushkar, Panchavarnakali, Arangatatam, Prithivya Dhruva Lokam Lokam, etc.
