Cine box office has its own math. While South Indian films are doing record breaking business at the box office, on the other hand Hindi language films are failing continuously. Trade analysts are not able to understand this math of films. The biggest reason for the failure of Hindi language films is the ticket rates of theatres. Watching movies in North India is very expensive whereas watching movies in South India is very cheap. Due to this, the films there are earning indiscriminately at the box office even during the Corona epidemic. Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda, which has completed almost a month in theatres, continues to sparkle even after 28 days.
According to the latest report, the earnings of the film Akhanda are not being affected even by the third wave of Corona. The film has crossed the 100 crore mark in theatres, due to which the makers are quite happy. Akhanda is completing its fourth week in theatres. Akhanda’s earnings at a glance-
First week- Rs 77.80 crore
Second week- Rs 17.80 crore
Third week – Rs 4.30 crore
Week 4 – Rs 3 crore
Total Earning – 102.90 Crore
The kind of figures this film is registering in theatres, it is a proof that the audience has liked the film very much. The film has entered the list of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s most successful films on the basis of its 28-day earnings. Akhanda’s figures in the Corona period are really shocking because the last many films of Nandamuri Balakrishna have not been able to earn such money in normal days.
