6,145 new cases of coronavirus in Malaysia, 63 people died | 6 thousand 145 new cases registered in last 24 hours, 63 people lost their lives – Bhaskar

Digital Desk, Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia reported 6,145 new cases of coronavirus as of midnight on Sunday, raising the national total to 2,390,687. These figures have been shared by the Ministry of Health.

According to the data released on the ministry’s website, 12 of the newly infected cases are from outside and 6,133 are of local transmission, Xinhua news agency reported. 63 people died due to corona in the last 24 hours, due to which the death toll has increased to 27,921.

Around 9,231 infected have been discharged from the hospital after recovering, taking the total number of recoveries to 2,270,520. Out of the remaining 92,246 active cases, 688 have been kept in intensive care and 348 of them have been fitted with breathing aids.

In the country on Sunday alone, 134,180 people were given the vaccine and about 77.2 percent of the population had received at least one dose and 69.7 percent were fully vaccinated.
